F.A.Q.

  • Can I send you my empty pill bottles? Yes! We’ll gladly take your orange, green, blue, or red Rx bottles. They must be made of #5 plastic (polypropylene). Please remove the labels and save up a minimum of 20 bottles before shipping. Once we receive the bottles we’ll send you a discount code as a thank you. Simply email us at  hello@cocoplumco.com when you’re ready to send them. Please note that due to the overwhelming interest in this initiative we aren’t able to cover the shipping costs. Bay Area Locals: Skip the shipping and drop off your bottles at Mighty Market (Martinez), Fillgood (Berkeley), or Right On Refillery (Los Altos). To claim your discount code, snap a selfie while dropping off your bottles and email it to hello@cocoplumco.com.
Additionally, we partner with Ridwell. If you’re in a Ridwell service area, consider recycling through them to contribute to our growing supply of recycled bottles!
  • Where do you ship? In order to reduce emissions related to transport, we only ship within the united States.
  • How do I send my used sunglasses back to be recycled? Click here to recycle your sunglasses. We'll send you a free shipping label and you can send the sunglasses back to us in any condition. You'll also receive a 15% off promo code as a thank you!
  • What exactly happens to the sunglasses that are sent back to be recycled? We take the frames and shred them into small pieces of plastic. That plastic is then entered back into production to create new sunglasses. We work with recycling partners to responsibly recycle the lenses and hinges.
  • How are the lenses made? Our polyamide lenses are made from 39% bio-based raw materials that come from agricultural and wood industry waste and they’re manufactured in a facility that uses 100% renewable electricity. These sustainable practices reduce the carbon footprint by up to 50% compared to traditional lenses. Our lenses have been certified by European Commission accredited certification system, REDCert.
